Benefits for Individual Artists

The Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids launched its artist membership program in 2007. Annual feedback from artists has helped us to develop a membership program that addresses their needs.

Benefits include:
• Opportunities to exhibit in the Arts Council’s gallery. This includes FREE PR, postcards announcing the exhibit, and a complimentary opening reception.
• Free workshops on various topics from how to protect intellectual property, to marketing and self-promotion.
• The opportunity to post your online portfolio with links to your Web site.
• Listing on our Web site’s searchable database.
• Regular e-newsletters with Calls to Artists that include job listings, potential exhibits, etc.
• Regular newsletters with information about upcoming events and opportunities.
• Networking opportunities with other artists and arts organizations.
• And frequent surveys to find out exactly what YOU need.

A one-year membership is just $35, or $15 for students.

Also, additional discounts are available if you are currently involved in one of our member organizations such as the UICA, Avenue for the Arts, or Rivertown Artists Guild.
